Showroom maintenance and fitter

The quality of the displays in our showroom is paramount to customers deciding to purchase from us. Designs are constantly changed and our 3 showrooms are in constant need of updating. We are looking for a good all rounder who has excellent carpentry, plumbing and tiling skills, electrics and plastering would be an added bonus. You should have an eye for detail and experience of how to overcome problems as they occur and be organised in order to keep the showroom looking pristine even while work is going on. You would have a large selection of your own tools and a van would be preferable although not essential.

Part of the role will include carrying out warranty work for our many clients. You should be a trouble shooter who can be put into any situation and have the ability to deal with the problem effiently with the minimum cost and disruption to the client. Excellent customer service is essential.

Surveyor

We require an experienced Kitchen and Bathroom surveyor. You should have CAD experience ( Virtual Worlds). Experience of German kitchens would be advantagous. You will be required to visit our clients, double checking measurements and verifying the items on their order are correct and suitable for the job. Accuracy is paramount as is the ability to put everything down on paper to ensure jobs can be completed effortlessly with no confusion. A good knowledge of plumbing is essential for the bathrooms.

Plans and paperwork are then generated to be passed to our clients and any relevant trades. Excellent admin and organisation skills are essential as you are running your own diary and working to tight deadlines. The role is Monday- Friday but there are occasional evening or weekend appointments to fit in with our clientele. We are a small family run business and we can offer a friendly working environment. The right candidate can earn up to £30k a year.

Every one of our enquiries is precious to us whether it be one of the huge amount of recommendations or it be from other sources. We have a very strong public profile in our local area using local radio and large prominent ads in local press. Whilst we get leads directly from advertising, many more come from a recommendation of someone having had a good report. All of the current designers have been with us for years and earn very good money which can be over £100k a year.

Whist there is a competitive spirit between designers it is friendly due to the fact that we aim to distribute leads fairly regardless of one designer being more successful than another. This is obviously subject to all designers being of a good standard, they would not be with us otherwise! Best earning potential is the ability to sell kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms as we do many multiple jobs.
